Pinboard. B3 Back In The Ring.
It's been almost ten years since B3's first outing, so it's nice to see them on show on campus at the University of Newcastle. If you're nearby pop in and see them, if you're not you can see them on Turnstile. Martyn Jolly's B3 essay is insightful and well worth reading.

Glossy. Boy George Blitz.
Along with counterparts i-D and The Face, London's Blitz magazine's heyday was in the early 1980s. Of the three i-D is the only to have lasted the distance with Blitz having the shortest lifespan. Regardless, Blitz has left behind an engaging time capsule charting 1980s cool.

Good Art #28. Hot With A Chance Of A Late Storm.
It's been a few years since this ice cream van was seen at Tamarama, but it has lost none of its edgy humour. The Glue Society are responsible for Hot With A Chance Of A Storm, a witty and whimsical work encapsulating the heat of a Sydney summer. It's easy to see why it was a highlight of Sculpture By The Sea in 2006, and how it raised the bar. It never fails to lift the spirits. Likewise a work installed in Denmark, It Wasn't Meant To End Like This. Brilliant.

Glossy. Special Request.
Special Request is a new magazine out of London. Their first issue focuses on food and features pretty in pink Miss Piggy on the cover. I'm intrigued and almost willing to part with $30 to see it.
