Today's Tale. God Squad.

Three friendly church ladies, each representing a different European country, came a knocking last night. Apparently the local catholic priest had sent them out saying that the people won't come to church of their own accord, you need to wrangle them in, or words to that effect given my imperfect Dutch. So knock they did. We chatted and laughed a bit, each of us with our thick non-Dutch accent, about god and stuff before I waved them on wishing them better luck at their port of call. Oddly, I had biked to Monster (a former pilgrimage site) earlier in the day to visit op shops and photograph on the beach. That's where the beauty above comes from.

.Mic agree with my sneaking suspicion that Kelis's latest album Food, released in April 2014, had been a little over-looked. That's a great shame as it's a corker rewarding with every listen. It's also a far cry from her big hits Milkshake and Caught Out There being produced by Dave Sitek of TV On The Radio. Do yourself a favour as Molly might say.

Good Art #35. Museum To Scale 1/7.

I wrote about Museum to Scale 1/7 on Play a couple of months back when it was showing at the Kunsthal in Rotterdam where it competed for attention, and won the race in my opinion, with the buzzing 007 Style exhibition. One hundred Belgian artists presented miniature exhibitions in identical tiny rooms, each a feat of imagination, many hilarious. Good Art #34. The Scream.

As the new year ticked in, time was called on copyright for Edvard Munch, Piet Mondrian and Wassily Kandinsky among others. With their work now in the public domain in many markets around the world — USA has to wait until 2019 — I guess we can expect to see all manner of renderings on all types of products in the future. This week's Good Art is The Scream, a remarkable painting that has been referred to as a Mona Lisa of modern times and has the honour of being stolen at least twice, both times returned a couple of months or years later.
