There's still time to see the excellent
Karel's Keuze exhibition at De Hallen in Haarlem, if you're in the Netherlands of course. The show brings together highlights of the gallery's collection purchased during Karel Schampers
thirteen year stint. I went not knowing what was on nor who Karel is. It's fair to say I was pleasantly surprised to see some of my favourite works on show by artists like Hans Peter Feldman, Gillian Wearing, Nan Goldin and Boris Mikhailov.
